Uniform

We do have a school dress code based on the school colour, red, teamed with either grey or black with a white t shirt or blouse..

We have sweatshirts and cardigans with the school logo on and these can be purchased from Morley's or Loop Wear in Derby. These are not compulsory and a plain red jumper or cardigan is acceptable.

All items of school clothing, including coats and book bags must be clearly marked with your child’s name.

Uniform for sale in school:

We stock the following items of uniform in school for sale. Please ask at the school office.

  • Book bags
  • PE Bags
  • Sun Hats

Jewellery:

In the interests of safety, Jewellery should not be worn in school. A simple analogue watch is acceptable.

Earrings:

If your child has pierced ears then a single stud is acceptable. However, even studs may cause problems especially during a P.E. lesson and therefore, we would ask that your child does not in the interest of safety wear earrings to school. Earrings MUST be removed on days when your child has a PE session or covered with micro pore tape.

The school cannot accept responsibility for any items of jewellery lost or damaged in school.

P.E. Kit:

All children will require the following items of P.E. Kit. (All items should be clearly marked with your child’s name).

  • Black or dark coloured trainers
  • Black joggers/leggings
  • Normal school t shirt and jumper/cardigan

In the interests of safety all children with long hair MUST have their hair tied back for a P.E. lesson.

Lost Property:

All items of clothing MUST be clearly marked with your child’s name. With so many children wearing similar clothes, it is easy for them to get mixed up. This causes upset for both children and parents. Clothes which are named clearly are much easier to reunite with their owners!

Any clothing which is not claimed, will be kept in classrooms until the end of each half term then laundered for our pre loved uniform scheme or donated to charity.

Toys:

Toys should not be brought to school except under special circumstances, with the prior permission of the class teachers.
