Take a look at what we've been up to!
We are proud to be in partnership with Hako and Forest Nation. For every Hako tree we plant in forest school ten get planted in our forest in Tanzania
At Portway Infant School we have a very enthusiastic group of Eco-rangers who work hard to ensure that we deal with important Eco issues in our school. For example, keeping our garden tidy and clean, ensuring water is not being wasted in school, making sure the local wildlife have somewhere to live and that the children in school learn about waste and recycling through workshops and competitions.
Inspired!
This was a message sent from one of our supportive parents regarding her son Tristan and his enthusiasm to help save our planet and look after the environment - Tristan has been inspired by our Eco Rangers. Picking up rubbish everywhere he goes! He's cleaning up paths and parks around Derbyshire and always tells me "we have to look after the planet". He's also put himself in charge of recycling at home. Keep up the fantastic work Tristan!
