At Portway Infant School we believe that "music is like magic" (Charanga Music School) ; it can change the way someone feels, thinks or acts and is a powerful and unique form of communication that transcends different cultures, abilities and generations.  Every child is a potential musician; we aim to provide a high-quality music education which engages and inspires our pupils to develop a life-long love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, well-being, creativity and sense of achievement.
