Who We Are

We’re a group of passionate grand/parents, carers, and teachers working together to enrich the school experience for all children at Portway Infant School.

Our aim is simple: to bring people together, raise essential funds, and support activities that make a real difference — from classroom resources to Forest School adventures.

What We Do

We organise fun events that children love and families enjoy, while raising money to provide extras that the school budget can’t always cover.

Guided by our values, we:

• Support pre-loved initiatives (uniform swaps, second-hand stalls).
• Promote eco-friendly choices (reducing waste, reusing where possible).
• Encourage health-conscious fundraising (offering a mix of fun treats and nutritious snacks).
• Build a welcoming, no-pressure community where every contribution matters.

Get Involved!

Whether you have an hour to spare or a special skill to share, you can play a part:

• Help at an event.
• Join the Pre-Loved team.
• Support behind the scenes.
• Use your fundraising, creative, or organisational skills.

We’ll be in touch to add you to the relevant WhatsApp group — these are set up just for each event, so you only get the updates you need. We also run one main group for quick polls and school-wide updates.

Our Events

Across the school year, we host activities big and small, including:

• Autumn Term – Christmas cards & stall, Jingle Jump, Halloween dress-up, Nativity refreshments.
• Spring Term – Mother’s Day gift shop, Bunny Hop, Disco, Bunting competition.
• Summer Term – Father’s Day gift shop, Summer Fete, Raffle, Sports Day refreshments.

Each year, we raise thousands of pounds that go straight back into school life — supporting classroom learning, Forest School, and special activities that benefit every child.
