We looked at all the classes book corners and decided which one we liked the best. This time Miss Brown's class were the winners and they won some books for their classroom - well done them!
Today we discussed what we know about bullying reading for Anti-Bullying week next week. We know that bullying happens usually more that one time, is something that is done on purpose and is a more that just friends falling out. We talked about dressing in blue on Monday and that would be learning more about bullying and how to prevent it next week.
We discussed possible charities to benefit from the collections at our Christmas concerts. We passed some ideas on to Miss Walker and the staff will make a final decision next week.
We also created an Anti Bullying Charter. This will be signed by children and grown ups and displayed in our class rooms.
We decided on criteria to be used to judge the best book corners in school. We came up with:
-Has a theme
-Is cosy and out of the way (den or tent possibly)
-Blankets and cushions
-Large selection of books
-enough room for 4 people
- cuddly toys
-tidy and looked after
We discussed the problem that some children were not doing as they are asked first time. Some ideas for pshe games were shared, the aim of these are to make children realise that we are all important members of the class and need to work together.
