Minutes of the meeting held on 28.11.17
The children are going to go back to their classes to design a new sign for the outside of the school. The School Council went to look at the sign and decided that a new one was needed.
They will also ask the children in the class if there is anything that they would like the School Council to discuss.
Minutes of the meeting held on 14.11.17
The children had spoken to their classes about a Friendship Charter and this was completed.
Minutes of meeting held on 10.10.17
The children were given a note book per class to make notes of what they need to take back to their classes and discuss.
We discussed a Friendship Charter. The children decided that on this we should put 'We agree to ......' and then when they have talked to the children in the class we will put together the charter of what they agree to do. Some suggestions were:

Meeting held 30.1.18
The meeting was attended by Mrs Hilton who wanted to investigate what the children thought about PE.
The children said that games and learning throwing and catching skills were their favourite but they also enjoyed learning how to do different kinds of rolls in gym. The children said that they mostly enjoyed their pe lessons.
Different out of school clubs were discussed - children said they attended swimming, ballet, gymnastics and rugby clubs out of school.
Meeting held 13.2.18
The children discussed ways that they were active during school day.
The children reviewed Healthy Heart Week and said they enjoyed wearing their tracksuits.
The children were sent back to their class to discuss top tips to make a good friend.
Meeting held 13.3.18
The children thought of top tips to make a good friend-
1. Be kind to everyone
2. Let people join in your games
3. Even if you're feeling grumpy, still be kind to your friends
4. Look after anyone feeling sad or poorly
5. Let other people join in your friendship group
Meeting held 17.4.18
We were joined by a member of Friends of Portway who told us about a new fundraising scheme called 'Copperheads'. Each class was given a bucket to decorate in the style of a member of the Copperheads family which will then be placed outside classroom doors to collect 1ps and 2ps donated by parents.
