Portway Infant School are proud to be linked with St. Trizah’s School in Kenya.
For the last five years we have helped Derby County In the Community support their efforts to improve the school facilities. Once again we would like to join them as they head off this Summer. Over the years our children have sent photos of a typical day at school, written letters and we collected bedding for the new dormitory that DCCT were helping to build. We raised over £180 with a non-uniform day.
This year we are hoping to collect as many pairs of shoes as possible, old or new, for the children of St. Trizah’s. Each year we have a non-uniform day during our Healthy Heart Week as we have a Tracksuit and Trainer Tuesday. We ask for £1 donation towards the funds for DCCT.
We ask the children of St. Trizah’s questions about their families and everyday activities. Last year we were interested to find out how they made a football out of carrier bags!
